Default Power Inverter

Who has mounted a power inverter in their truck? I'm looking at installing one and am curious what wattage y'all would recommend.

What are you planning on powering with it? I use a black and decker 400 watt for the laptop

I have a 400 watt that slides in right between the center and passenger seat. I plug it into the power port behind where the cupholders are. I use it for my computer when on the long trips.

I just bought a Xantrex 1000 watt Pure Sine Wave (VERY important if you're going to run sensitive equipment!)...

I'm going to install it behind the left hand rear passenger seat on the cab wall, the keep a pig tail attached to it. 1000 watts will power hand tools (drill motors, etc.)

I mounted a "modified" sine wave 800w inverter in my trucktoolbox.

(I ran a 4gauge cable & a resettable breaker to the battery for power)
(I ran a 4gauge cable to the chassis for my ground)

The inverter came with a extension that I ran up into the cab
The extension is like a wall mount in sorts & has a on/off button.
My family & I have used it for our electronics devices (cameras, laptops, games) etc for about 3yrs now.

I have a air compressor & LED flood lamp among other tools that I keep in my truck box that I use directly off of the inverter.

This is what I bought (not from this company).

Note: I know a pure wave is cleaner than a modified wave.
I only used this brand/model only because I got a deal on it, thats it.
It suits my needs.

Do you have any pictures of the install on this inverter. I would like to see the location and the resettable breaker off the battery. Also will I be needing to add a relay?
