Possibly about to lease. Advice/input needed..
-Probably going to start calling around in the morning. I am wanting to get a 2014 SC FX4 luxury package. I am going to go down the leasing route because I tend to get the itch to trade in my vehicle every 2 or so years. And maybe by then ths 15's will be more affordable.
-Could anyone tell me maybe the lease deal they got recently on an fx4. Or what would be a good price.
-I am looking for a 24-36 month lease with 15,000 mile allowance, and not put much down.
-What could I expect to pay per month?

Just got my first lease. 2014 XLT,CREW, 4X4,45K LIST.I traded in 2004 titan crew,4x4,122k, got $9500 for it, 12kyr/24 mo.lease , $200 month,+ 3k back in a check in a few weeks. Dealer made a mistake,so you may not get this type of deal. Best to price your best deal on buying w/trade in. Then work the lease of that price. Don't rush, shop around. FYI,at the end of lease I can buy it for 28k. Having no money down or trade, you should be $350-$450 range?
Longer the term, more miles ,price goes up about $40 a month.

I pay 500 a month on a 2013 fx4. Its a 12,000 mile a year 36 month lease. I put a 1,000 down, but my monthly payment is higher because I had a 2011 subaru impreza that I didn't want amymore. Problem with that was I owed 19,000 and didnt get what I owed so it got added on to new truck price. Sucked but really wanted out of car and back in truck. At the end of my lease my buy it price is 24,000. I am only putting on 6,000 miles a year. Im at 12,000 miles with a little over a year to go. So at end of lease ill probably have 16,000 miles on truck. My truck should be worth a lot more than 24,000 since it will only have 16,000 miles on it and still looks brand new. Hopefully since it will be worth more my next lease or purchase will be better deal.
500 a month is high, but if you go on lease trader and look at f150 leases that people are trying to get out of. You will find people paying as much as 700 or higher. As long as you don't owe any money on whatever your trading, or if your just going in there and just putting money down. I see no reason you cant get one for 350 to 400 a month.

Thanks for the input so far. Yes I won't be trading anything in because I lucked up and was able to sell my past truck privately. The lease deals are definitely looking more attractive. I tried to do some of those lease calculators online and my monthly note always looks sky high, but I'm sure im doing something wrong.
Alot of people dont like leasing but I think its the way to go. You always have something new, and its always under warranty. Anything goes wrong its always covered. I look at it this way, why should I finance when ill never own the vehicle. Ill get sick of it or something else would come out that i want way before I own it. So ill always have a vehicle payment for the rest of my life, why not make it easier to get in something new every couple years.
I always leased and tried financing with my subaru, but as I said I wanted out of it then and because I owed more than I got for it I got screwed with a higher payment on my current fx4. So I will always lease from now on.
Alot of people say leasing is a waste because you'll never own anything but im fine with basically renting it. I tried the im gona buy this and keep it for a long time mentality but it wasnt for me.

When you are old & retired(69), I could not buy anything. So, for this time ,I had to lease, & as I mentioned, before. I traded my 2000 Honda s2000 in 2007 for my 2006, used,Mustang GT ,triple black rag top, stick. Have not had any car payments for a few years.

Rule #1 of leasing is NEVER put any money down on the deal! If you total it a month or two down the road that money is gone!
Rule # 2 is always negotiate. Just like buying, there is always room to work on the initial quote.
Most leases will also carry with them a higher insurance requirement on your coverages.
Honestly, I never thought much of Fords lease program. Maybe it has changed but last time I checked they didn't offer gap coverage as part of the program and they had open ended pricing instead of a fixed price if you decided to buy it at lease end or needed to buy cause you went way over on miles and purchasing would be cheaper than the penalty.
