Poor MPG- When to worry?
So, my new to me 2013 F150 Super 3.5 Ecoboost gets about 10MPG in true city, stop and go driving. This is driving up and down streets with stop lights every 1/8 to 1/4 mile. Is this to be expected? It starts to climb up rapidly if I can drive for more than half a mile without stopping and I usually average close to 20MPG highway.

It sounds like you're using the instant readout to figure fuel mileage. Run a tank through it then you'll have a better idea. For short distances I've seen 4 mpg and 40 mpg. Which means nothing. You'll be more accurate if you hand calculate it too. It really depends on the individual truck and driver but the MPG readout display on my truck, with me driving it, has never been more than 1/2 mpg different than what I get when I hand calculate it. I've gotten to the point where the mpg readout on my truck is close enough that I rarely double check by hand anymore. But many drivers find there to be a significant difference.
But the numbers you posted seem pretty close. Very few people do 100% city driving and those who do should expect single digit mpg's with a full size truck. On the hwy the upper teens or lower 20's are about right. Over the last 50,000 miles the overall fuel mileage shown on my display is right at 17 mpg. That is a mix of hwy driving, some towing and my everyday driving which is rural 2 lane and some small city driving.

Wouldn't that suggest GREAT mpgs? Since you never open your wallet?

'13 3.5 here as well. my daily commute is about a mile with 3 lights between. doing that, and other city driving, i average around 13-14mpg. i recently completed 2 long freeway trips - the first being 3 hours each way, the second being 1.75 hours each way. both trips i had the same results. if i keep the cruise at 70 or below i got 17.4mpg. at 75 it was 16.2. anything over 75 and it was less than 15. 34k on the engine, just had fresh oil change, filter and new spark plugs and boots. all of that though was with my 18" blizzaks on fwiw.

Not with today's technology just wave your phone and viola' I'm partial to Samsung pay, but google pay works just the same, and I think they have Apple pay as well.
