Default Pointless dent removal

hey everyone so a little while back I noticed a white colored dent on my red truck. It was right I. The corner or near the corner about the size of a lime. I looked up some paintless dent removal online and bought some tools. I’m just looking for maybe some suggestions on pulling it out. It’s right near the corner and I don’t think it will be a problem. Just looking for some ideas. Thanks

PDR is a skill taught, just because you think you have all the right tools does not mean it's so. I've personally seen a PDR tech's tools and it's quite massive. When my truck got pummeled in a hail storm at 2 weeks old I was skeptical they could fix it without panel replacement but they did.

You might want to study up on youtube for techniques and how to's and that's no guarantee you can do what trained hands can do. Might even make it worse.

RnL is right, and so is the title of this thread. If you own all the gear that the paintless dent removal guys use, but you have no experience doing it, your attempt at dent removal is pointless.

Just a starter kit of professional PDR tools is over $200. The set I saw the guy had that did my truck looked closer to the $1000.00 set on this link https://www.pdrtool.com/collections/pdr-tool-sets

Trust me guys I don’t think I have all the tools or the skills. But I have one minor dent. My question I guess I was asking is with it being near the corner do u think it’s worth trying to pull it out with a oaintless dent removal tool or can I access it easily from behind to try and push it out? I’ve definitely seen the videos and believe it is a major skill for the guys who can actually do it.

Hmm, why do you think "paintless" will help. Popping that out is clearly not going to be enough. Suspected that when you said "white...dent", but the pic definitely proves it.

Maybe you should just take it to a body shop and have that dent as well as the bent bumper and spot right in front of the bumper that got scraped fixed as well.

PDR can get that dent out, I have seen worse and it is amazing what skills they have to pop it back out and not even notice. As long as the paint is not split or chipped, and the dents are not too deep, it can be done. But get it done by someone with experience and has the specialty tools to do so.

The only thing I would do is remove the taillight assembly for them so they can gain access to the area. I had a pretty goo dent in my passenger front door by the handle and I removed the inner door panel and pull handle for them. The guy who did the dent worked thanked me and it prevented them from having to drill an access hole that they sometimes do.
