Default Platinum grill paint code?

Anyone ever color matched their plat grill? I would like to know the paint code or other possible duplicolor matches. It's almost like a matte chrome finish, also called the ford dealer parts guy and he couldn't find the paint code, but all his computer said was "platinum grill in matte chrome finish."

Trying to color match the grill to your truck? If your truck is tuxedo black as your name says, the paint code is UH.

Oh, well I don't believe that is paint. I could be wrong. I don't have much xp with platinum grills, but I think its bonded/dipped like chrome is.

Yeah that's what I figured they were but I was thinking maybe someone on here has tried to color match it for some accessories or something.

I did paint a nissan GT-R about 2-3 months ago. It had the liquid silver paint option($4000), which is a 4-stage(yes 1 more stage than a tri-coat) basically it was basecoat, then clear. Bake it dry, sand with 3M 3000 grit trizact paper. Then pearlcoat, then clear again. It had that "brushed" look.

The paint code was nissan code KAB. I don't know if this will help. Its hard to tell in the pic, but here it is

I did not see this thread earlier:

Anyone else know a way or come up with a good match to the platinum color of the grill? Have tried scanning at an automotive paint place and the plastic was to reflective for a good scan.

Thanks for all and or any help with this!

Not to sound redundant...but the grill is not painted. So it will be hard to match it with paint. I'm not surprised a spectrometer didn't come up with anything...as there is no pigments in the grill.

Thats why I offered the GT-R code. When that came in for paint, we were all checking it out, saying how much it looked like that "brushed" look.

What are you guys trying to paint this "color?" I'm really curious
