I’ve tried searching this all over and cannot get good clarification based on what I’ve been reading. Recently I purchased a 2013 platinum and I love it. The back says 4x4, but on some vin lookups it says fx4. My question is can the platinum also come with the fx4 package? And any other things I could look for in my truck to determine?

FX4 in the F150 in 2013 was its own package. If it had the FX4 package it would have it on the side of the truck instead of 4X4 also.

 

Simple answer. NO.
FX4 was it's own trim level in the 12th gen trucks. It was not the "off road" package like it is in other generations. However, if the 4x4 decal on the bedside has OFF ROAD underneath then you have the off road package which includes the skid plates and other parts and pieces that are commonly associated with the FX4 trucks of other generations.
