Default Plate relocation

hey bubs, I seen a few of yous guys that had your plate relocated to the left or right of that little air...inlet..thingy on the bumper. Are you guys just screwing the plates into the plastic, or is there a relocation kit floatin around the webs?

Thanks pals

The Eco boost trucks already have a license mount on the driver's side to allow more air flow to the center mounted intercooler. Since the 5.0 has no intercooler. The license plate is mounted in the center.

^^^ That.

The Ecoboost trucks have offset license plates for air to hit the intercooler. 5.0 trucks hold their breath and don't need air.

but for real, he nailed it. center plate cuz 5.0 doesn't have an intercooler.

So what if I want to mount it to the side? I think it looks better, personally.

then look for the front license plate holder/bracket on Tasca Parts or something for your equivalent year truck, but spec an EcoBoost for an engine. Your local dealer could help, but you'd need to bring lube if you're going to buy it from them.

It's a factory part that replaces the breadloaf that the 5.0 comes with.

Not that it matters, but the new Eco boost have plates mounted in the middle. But yes the Eco boost used to be mounted on the side.

Cool

You might could get lucky and find someone selling their ecoboost plate on here. I didn't like the plate on the side so I bought a broadleaf and sold my plate holder to someone on this forum for 10 bucks. I think I bought the broadleaf at rock auto for pretty cheap. I would look there for the ecoboost license plate kit.

Tasca has them, I wanted to do the same. Dealers sell them as a pair R/L. I'm still on the fence, through tasca or my local dealer is gonna be close in price with exchange rate. Tasca wanted $45, local wanted $90.
