Performance upgrade; hennessey:roush
Just bought '11 limited. I'm wanting an engine performance upgrade from a very reputable company. I've heard of hennessey and roush. Any others? Also, I'd love to hear from anyone that has done it or know someone that has. What do I need to look out for?
Stay as far away from Hennessey as possible. Just do a search for his name and his company and you will find COUNTLESS pieces of information about how he has screwed people over, tons of BBB complaints, and many many lawsuits. I even had to be called to give a disposition about him as I was there when a friend dropped his car off and the problems that ensued.
I will say he hasn't had as many complaints in recent years as he had in years further back. The annual Supra Nationals are held at his shop and 1/4 mile track and he has been quite generous and accomodating to that group, but that doesn't negate all of his other problems.
The '11 trucks are a bit too new yet with new motors and other features that the aftermarket will need some time to catch up. There are plenty of parts that work with any 09-11, but as far as performance goes, there isn't much out there yet.

Yes he was infamous for taking parts off of other people's cars and using them on older customers cars to push them out the door and get them done. Countless "built motors" found to not be even touched and left factory, cars that blew up due to not having parts on there as he claimed, etc etc etc. The list goes on for days.
Just check here and the 2011 Engines forums to see what others are doing and what the results are.

I would say just find a good shop that is local to you and do research. Generally speaking this will yield better results for less money, plus if they are local you have a greater chance at a good relationship with who is working on your truck.
If you want it done and done right, I would talk to these folks.
