Default Performance modifications

Hey guys, I've got a 14 F150 STX 5.0 that I've been trying to make faster. I've got it going pretty good so far, but I can't seem to find anything about good performance mods, other than what I've done, that don't include cams, or a supercharger/turbo kit. The truck has 215k miles on it so I'm trying to just do bolt on style things and not trying to break the bank. So far I've got a Boss 302 intake, PMAS cold air intake, and a custom tune from Lund Racing. I've got headers on the way and intend on doing a custom true dual exhaust also.

None of those is really going to do much. Only the tune. Supercharger is the way for the Coyote. Although, you probably need to look at some other things if you do that to make sure they are capable. Like the driveshaft.

true duals won't really do anything for performance, miiiight sound better but thats about it. Gears are about the only thing left at this point without getting into the engine. All the small stuff is probably a big chunk towards what a blower setup would cost but I can understand being hesitant to go that route at that milage

Heads and cam. Trick Flow makes good heads for the 302.
Man, but 215k, me id pull, have it rebuilt, do a 347 stroker kit, heads and cam...world of difference. If automatic, add small converter.

If you want N/A power in a 5.0, without sacrificing torque, the answer is Mustang intake cams, ported 2018 truck manifold, PMAS CAI and an Oz Omega tune. the only CAI that have been proven to add power are the PMAS and JLT, It also just so happens that both of those intakes require a tune. Long tube headers will help make power up high, but they are an absolute nightmare to install. Short tubes are pretty much pointless. Catback systems don't add enough flow to really matter. Stock exhaust flows enough until you get to forced induction power levels over 500 hp.

I appreciate all the input. I did feel a good difference in the truck with the Boss, Pmas and tune. I looked into the mustang cams, but seems like everywhere I've found them they're in the $1500-$2000 range. The only reason why I'm hesitant to do forced induction (be it turbos or a SC) is that this is my daily and I'm fully aware of my own decisions to push things further than they should. I'd probably end up pushing the boost too high for the stock internals, then I'm down a truck. The one thing I was curious about (haven't seen anything in it for the coyotes) is there any type of underdrive pulleys, or smog/ egr delete set up that would gain anything? I know that's one of the first mods I did on my 95 f150 and 89 lincoln.

BigHolly75... is there any type of underdrive pulleys, or smog/ egr delete set up that would gain anything?
Not necessary. REASON: There are no FEAD smog / egr set-ups. -AND- Things are electricfied - EPAS, BMS (meaning: alternator), etc..

Putting in new chains and Mustang GT cams is a pile of work.! I thought about it when I had mine tore down, but the cost vs high rpm horsepower didn't pencil out!'
