Default Performance gains and 87 Octane

Is there any performance gains to be had doing things like charge pipes, intercoolers, and downpipes on an EcoBoost while running 87 Octane? I'd have it tuned, I just can't see myself putting premium in this all the time. I fully realize that for the most performance I need 93 Octane, but what more can I get out of it and still run regular 87?

Even just running 87 octane, I'd still do a tune before doing anything else. I think that's easily the best bang for the buck on the ecoboosts. I'm running a 93 tune now, but before that I ran the 87 tune for a few weeks and there was a noticeable improvement.

They will help but not worth it if you aren't willing to spend the extra for premium. The 87 fuel is already the biggest limiting factor for power on the ecoboost with where you are at right now.

I am running a 5* 87 per/tow tune and it woke the truck up power wise. I sent datalogs to 5* and they said the truck is maxed out for the fuel grade.

I run a 91 Performance tow tune. I have thought about dropping down to the 87PT tune but fuel isn't that much more. 10$/ tank.
