Passenger tow mirror adjusts on its own, randomly
2014 F150 FX4 Ecoboost Crew Cab
Hi all, I noticed over the last few months my passenger tow mirrow would be adjusted all the way up and to the right randomly. Now it points all the way down and to the left.
if I press the 1 button on the side of the seat the mirror will try to adjust past its limits several times "clicking".
If I move the mirror and save position 1 it doesn't do this. Until the next time I find it has moved. Its happening more and more often which is why I posted this thread.

They are controlled by the drivers seat module. Any DTCs? It could be in the mirror itself or the DSM.

no codes and the mirror didn't move this time, its completely random when it happens
I use the remote start and also started it without remote start and the mirror never moved so that doesn't make a difference it seems

Troubleshooting is basically checking for electrical continuity everywhere that can affect it. From mirror to switch and DSM.
