Default Pass speaker is going out

Got in the truck tonight to go get pizza and the pass side speaker is farting out. Is that warrantied or am I looking to live with it for a little while until I can replace it?

Thanks

PS - 2013 STX w/Sony premium

I would think it is warrantied.

My old 13 STX had an issue the day after I bought it. A headlight would not work, the wipers would fail, and the passenger speakers quit working.

Took it to the dealer, the service manager drove it home to try to replicate my issues.
He experienced the same failures I had.

Turned out there was a broken weld on a nut or something that acted as a ground. They fixed it and all the electric issues stopped.

Good luck.

Yes it should be warrantied. It's a common thing for the passenger speaker to go out. Mine went out about a month ago, so I used it as an excuse to upgrade to some 6x8 Kickers. Well worth the $60 over the stock units

They've covered under warranty. If it's moisture in the door, it will keep happening. Here are a couple threads on this subject.

Covered, just had mine replaced yesterday. It sounded blown, very distorted. Voices sounded almost like Charlie Browns teacher.

When I left the dealer and had driven about 35 miles to an appointment my driver side started to do the same thing!! I've never been so aggravated, truck has 1400 miles on it and I'm already replacing speakers?!

I know every car has a bad batch of parts and what not but the hassle of spending every weekend at the service department is not what I was expecting when I traded my 7 year old vehicle in for a brand new one

It's not a bad batch. It's **** poor materials. It's been a known issue for years and Ford refuses to address it.

The speaker have a connector about 6 inches away from the positive and negative leads of the actual speaker. If you wiggle that harness it will be in and out. With electricity less harnesses the better I sniped that harness out and hard wired in. Did it to both driver and passenger. Not a problem since.

Don't really want to hard wire or take out any harnesses on such a new/under warranty truck. But thank you for the idea maybe I can get service to replace the harness next time too? i do want to do a complete kicker soundstage upgrade however I don't want to be rushed into it because my speakers keep havingn issues!!

I know it's frustrating but these speakers are garbage to begin with. This is one place the F150 doesn't shine. I just went ahead and replaced them with nicer high end units and had the piece of mind that they sound better and will last.
