Default Parking lights randomly come on

I have a 2010 f150 and the parking lights have been randomly coming on during the night, about every ten minutes. It is as if someone opened the door. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just started having the same problem with my 2010 FX4. Really p*ssed off with Ford now I've had so many problems with this truck. I thought they had really improved their quality of product.

Funny thing it never happened all summer so I'm thinking it's got to due with the cold weather. I'll will post again if it starts happening with the cold weather settling in. If it happens again I may change my battery. Useless to bring it to Ford....

Wonder if it's possible to see a video of this happening. ...but I realize how hard it would be to catch something like this on video when you can' predict it.

I read in another thread on here that it could be the smart junction box, guy with an F 350 said the dealership was replacing it. He never followed up if that did it or not?

I'm having the same issues now on my 2010 Lariat; 40k miles; I wonder if this is something Ford will fix

Why would you change your battery if it happens again?

I have the same issue with my '13. Not the park lights. But the dash lights will come on randomly. I was cleaning the garage. Truck was parked inside, locked. And as I walked past it. I noticed my gauges lit up. I thought I was seeing things. But I have seen it several times after that. Very strange.

I remember reading some posts a while back about this. I believe the issuer was a pinched wire harness between the cab and frame during assembly. After enough driving/vibration, the harness exposes some wires and causes the lights to flash.

The posts I read had the dealer replace the harness.

I'll try to find the post.
