Angry Paint Rust?!?!??

With the great weather in my area I thought I'd wash my truck today. These spots are all over, looks like rust. Something like this covered by warranty? I have a 2012 lariat just bought in November, brand new.

Keep an eye on it. It will most likely happen often. Comes off of your brakes too

Do you guys know where this comes from? I understand its called Railcar Dust but I don't really live near a railroad. I've been near one for about a week but that was a while ago.

Google it. There's tons of info on it. But from what i know there's 2 kinds.

1. That comes from rail cars. And is usually only on brand new vehicles. And will just be like a hot spark that cools and melts into the paint.

2. Semi metallic brake pads. Called rail dust, but really isn't. This will be re occurring. Typically on white, because its easy to see. And this type will be behind your wheels and on your tailgate. Due to wind turbulence.

I has a lot on mine due to all of that brine that they put over the roads in the winter . Not to worry. Its only surface rust. You'll see it on the plastic parts as well. I did my whole truck using Liquid Glass Pre Cleaner, then a coat of Liquid Glass. Paint is as new again.

True rail dust comes from when the truck was delivered on a train at some point in time from the factory to the dealership.
