The nice thing with hammer finish is that prep doesn't need to be flawless and the application is a little more forgiving since the paint isn't smooth.

Coat it with Rustoleum Bedliner Spray. I used this on my Jeep Bumpers and Fender Flares. Holds up great and looks good too. Could be done for a fraction of LineX.
