Default P0016 code intermittently

2011, 3.5 EB, 145K miles, getting P0016 intermittently. comes on once every 2 weeks then goes out after 4 restarts. No noise on startup, use full synthetic oil changed regularly at about 7K. Also notice about every 15 starts a lack of power but no codes show up, just no power. Turn it off and restart and its normal (can hear the turbos spin up). Dealer checked timing and it was 0.1 vs 0.6 tolerance, so they feel it's OK for now.

Any ideas? PCM, ECM?

Sounds like the dealer didnt do a thorough diagnosis.
Been a dealer tech for 32 years, they can figure this out vs everyone on here just guessing....

If you have to leave it with them so they can replicate it, so be it....
It is what it is...

Yes I know the dealers, and they want the truck back in 2 weeks to continue diagnostics. I'm sure they are gonna recommend the timing chain replacement to be sure, along with the cam phasers and water pump. Im just wondering if some other (think control module) would cause this without the hardware being defective, or anyone has had this happen before.
