I for one would appreciate if someone posted a bad experience with a seller. I can't believe the flack the buyer is receiving here, it truly baffles me. Also, I think there is a HUGE difference between buying from someone on a truck forum, and on craigslist. The knowledge and joint interest between the buyer and seller should leave both parties feeling a bit more comfortable about the transaction. On craigslist, it is legitimately random, and there really is no joint interest other than one person wants to sell, one wants to buy.

Personally, if I sell something, I even like to send a quick message after the fact and see if they had good luck with the purchase. I guess some people are just low lifes, and whoever says, "Your fault for not checking it!" is way out of line. NO its not his fault, he bought something on the premise of somebodies word. Should he have checked for the TPMS? Yes, and I'm sure he will in the future. But to say its his fault and he should always be expecting to get hosed, come on.

Finally on page 5 we get to the core of the issue. You wanted some side benefits with your purchase and she refused your advance. Now you want to slander her name. Classic juvenile male behavior.

What I really wonder about is why the OP isn't in a tizzy about being charged for new sensors she didn't get. I's be camping out on the tire store steps demanding my money back.

wow, i can't believe this has carried on this long. i saw the original post made by the seller and to be honest, it was in the wrong forum in the first place. it should have been in the for sale forum. but that's neither here nor there. as for the sensors not being in the wheels, yes that sucks that the buyer "thought" they were there based on the sellers words, but to be safe he should have met the seller at a tire shop just to be sure. as for mileage and wear on tires. if the buyer wasn't happy with what he saw, he shouldn't have bought them, regardless of price. so it seems both parties are at some fault. as for the seller being asked to pay $45 to move the sensors, i disagree with this. if you buy something USED, regardless of what is told to you, then it's kind of your own fault if something is not right. suck it up as a bad experience and move on. you have warned everybody about this particular seller, THANK YOU!

okay, my apologies for that, honestly, i thought you guys would recognize an attempt at humor. where i hail from, that would have been a win. i don't need to post any more about this. regardless of the criticism i've received, i'll bet most of you will think twice or more about dealing with this particular seller.

that is all, carry on.....if you remember her a month from now.

You bought a private sale, used items, buyer beware! You are responsible for due diligence, just as you would hire a mechanic to check over a used car before buying. Thank you for the warning for future buyers, now put it to rest.
