Default That Opening On The Dash

I saw a post "somewhere" that talks about removing the cover plate in the dash. Its on top of the dash. At any rate, it stated you could pop out the cover by prying up on it. Mine is being **** retentive! It just doesn't want to come out. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to pry too hard out of fear it will brake.

Did you take off the rubber mat and take out the screws?

Lol not everything you read on the net is true... You have to take out two screws that are under the mat. Like above said.

LOL take off the rubber mat and remove the screws! And do a little more research next time, you could've scratched up your dash and destroyed the insert!

If I could have found the thread when I DID look I wouldn't have made this post. So, even though you jumped to conclusions, I do appreciate the responses. Thanks.

Terry

EDIT: Thanks go out to: wasinger3000 & rharkcom!

I used a sawzall and it popped right off. I don't need no stinking interweb to instruct me.

Ok, since that's all figured out now. What are you going to do up there?

Mount a CB, running power & coax though the tray. I will also be hooking up the extra USB port.
