Default Open Door Detents

When I open my door to get out of my truck, the first detent isn't open enough for me to squeeze out, and the second detent is so far open that if there's a car parked next to me my door will hit it. Although this doesn't seem like a big deal, I struggle to hold my door to prevent it from slamming into the vehicle parked next to me EVERY time I get out of my truck! It's so annoying!! Does anyone know of anything that can be done?

Default Open Door Detents

Gotta give Northlight Labs a chance...They did invent them after all.
Sorry Lethal, nothing personal. Just giving the guy another option.

No offense taken at all brother.

Peter & Mary are good people!
There were many questions of a "buy back program" and it was declined by them.

My program simply gives another option to help someone out on here & as inexpensive as possible.
They are completely gone over, plus new & more grease than OEM in the mechanisms plus a brand new foam gasket is indeed included.
Some "dust caps" are indeed a non replaceable piece, and many of the MP Door Checks will have them.... But some will not. It's a poor design and will fall off eventually even if purchased new... Just a matter of time. Those dust caps only try to prevent dust going into mechanisms anyways.... And I still offer a lifetime warranty.

I highly recommend anyone who prefers to purchase brand new,to contact Peter & Northlite Labs.... Again, they're great people.

And anyone who doesn't mind to go reconditioned for 1/2 the cost (plus a lifetime warranty), ...to please contact me (aka: KustomFX) directly at: lethalweapon09@yahoo.com
(I also ship free - including the cores back to me)
And, again, I offer a lifetime warranty.

These are a great mod & shame on Ford for not doing this from the factory!!!

I did Northlight ones and they have been great, I would have probably went the reconditioned route if he was doing them when I bought mine.

Both products will solve your issue OP.

One of the best things I've done for my truck is put the Northlight labs door detents in. Even my wife loves them.

I did them through Lethal Weapon. Good experience all around. Highly recommended.
