When I first moved to where I live now, there was a guy with a ford ranger that had made wooden bed sides (mounted in the bed stake pockets). He had "local ford dealer's name broke this one off in me" and drove everywhere with it. Cheaper than a wrap lol. I often wondered what was so bad about the truck since he was always driving it around, it obviously functioned to some degree. I never see it anymore, I guess he got rid of it eventually and "broke it off in" the next guy.

I went through the same thing with my 2011 that you're going through with your 14. Just constant issues for 2 years and 40,000 miles. Finally I bit the bullet and traded it in for my leftover 2013, and got a smoking deal on it.
Best decision I have ever made, it has been absolutely flawless with about 25,000 miles on her now.
IMO since I've been through the same thing, I recommend just doing it. Beating yourself up about it will only make you hate the truck more. Just do it and never look back.

Yup, got two dealers looking for a truck for me. The one I've dealt with for years (except for this one truck, go figure) knows exactly what I am looking for. He'll forward to broker texts directly to me for any trucks that come in. The other dealer, that I bought this truck from, look relieved to be done with me. Oh well.

Thanks, gonna need it.wifey told the dealer a diesel with 8' bed is perfectly acceptable. Haha, really don't want a truck with an 8' bed, that's officially overkill!

Yup, the one really good thing about getting a used truck is someone already dropped a tonne of dough on accessories. My old dealer already texted me a lariat 350 with oversized tires, custom rims, grill guard, and matching cap. Don't really want a 350, that'd be a bit too harsh of a ride. Also 120k KM's, think I'll pass on that one.
