I'll be honest, when I saw that you were "taking it out", I got a little concerned. Thank God you're just talking about your CAI!

That could be it, i suppose i'll just wait until summer

Yeah, the trip was 450 mile-ish, it could be the winter blend here in WI.

It's really disappointing compared to the 22mph highway they claim.

Yeah the open portion of the CAI is near the bottom of the box on the sides, i'm not sure if it would draw air from above though.

Get some foam tape, and seal around it, chances are it is just the winter additive in the fuel, I have yet to see a TRUE CAI cut your fuel economy, just HAI, which is just a cone filter open in the engine bay sucking in hot engine bay air. Typically found on every honda civic in an Autozone parking lot, and some of your "lowrider" / "ricer" wannna bes....

Ok will do, its for the 4.6 3v, but i managed to get a different tube and jerry rig it to fit the 2v version.
