Where did and how did you mount yours? I bought the 60" ANZO one, with reverse (which dont work), and installed it but, its barely visable, I can see the glare on the bumper and thats about it.. Anyways just some pics to see how you all did yours...

 

I was thinking about the Plasmaglow Firestorm.. But I don't want the truck to look like a Xmas tree... I'm still deciding which one to get.

 

I got the recon extreme light bar. Couldnt get it to work until i figured out that there is a fuse and a relay missing from the fusebox, it should be in a bag in your glove box or side door compartment, once i put those it it works great! Not sure why ford didnt install the relay and fuse from the factory though. Im going to install a switch so that I can manually shut it off if I want to.

 

I have the Recon Amber Scanning with reverse. Pretty good so far. Thanks

 

thats the one i have, red across for parking lights, brighter for brakes, amber scan when turning, and white reverse. I love it.

 

Well, I got it figured out, apprently the white wire to hook to the reverse had gotten cut or something when I pulled it out of the package, re soldered a new one on and soldered and wrapped to my hot reverse wire, and it works great.. I would like to go ahead and hardwire the remaining wires in as well, does anyone know the schematics, or where the harness that comes with the truck as new plugs into, that has outputs on it?

 

I had the trailer light hookup on my 2010 lariat and if you look at the cover for the round plug it will tell you what each wire is for, then just look at the back of the plug and find the wire color for the corresponding tab inside and i hardwired mine up that way. I just spliced into those wires. I mounted mine under the tailgate where its supposed to go, initially I thought the same as you that you wouldnt be able to see it very good, but the recon one i have is really bright and you can see it very well at night. I had to move one of the mounting pads however, as there is a bump out on the passenger side back of where it mounts. I also had to cut the corner off of the middle mounting pad as it was right next to where my reverse camera wire goes through.

 

Sounds good, I actually removed the pads from the bar, put them on and tapped new holes in the bar, to make it to where it had the best fit, and was flush/ level. And imo it turned out awesome, your right too, bright, and mine is just the 54.99 Anzo 5 funtion, I wish I had the scanning lamps though.. idk they even have one.

Sorry, I don't have pics of mine in action. I have never been a fan of pics people post of lights lit up in darkness, they look like UFO's and don't really help (I am sorry, I know I am being too harsh to some of my gentle, sensitive, sheltered fellow forum members who have reported me for "sarcasm").
