oil changes help?!

Default oil changes help?!

So my mechanic has put 5w30 the last two times in my truck. Now I think they are suppose run 5w20 do u think this could cause problems I'm running mobil 1 full synthetic

I seriously doubt that it hurt anything. Some engines that run 5w-20 regularly have a recommendation that 5w-30 be used under hard conditions (this was the case with my Tundra 5.7).

Now if it was something like 15w40, then you might want to start worrying a little haha

This. We run 15W40 in all of our vehicles (probably 20-30 total) and never any engine issues. May drop your mileage a tad but no worries. And these vehicles all get run hard and put away wet.

I'm with the others it won't hurt. I almost think Ford put 5w-20 in them just to eek out every last bit of MPGs... Under heavy use I would think 5w-30 would actually be better like Toyota recommends.
