Default oil change

Hi everyone,
I am going to change the oil myself for the first time. I have a 2009 F-150 with the 5.4 engine. I am not sure how many quarts of oil needs to be put in it. Any help would be appreciated.

Fluid capacities, filter part #s, etc., etc., etc. are all detailed in the owners manual.

(owner's manual) Don't have one -OR- would like a digital, searchable desktop document?

I used to do my own oil until I found out it was cheaper taking it to the dealer. $32.00 for an oil change and filter. I can't buy the Motorcraft oil and filter for that.

If you gonna start doing it yourself go ahead and invest in a fumoto valve.

I like doing my own 1.cause I can do a full syn oil and filter for around 35 bucks. 2. Cause my dealers suck and I don't trust them with my daughters power wheel car.
