Default OEM Chrome Step Bars

For those of you that have them, it takes about 1 min. per black plastic step to remove them. Makes for much easirer cleanning and polishing. I was starting to get water stains and didn't want to get chrome polish in the plastic.

The whole under side of the tub is open, they are held on by squeeze together tabs. I think I had one on the passengers side rear that was partly blocked by the mounting arm, not much trouble though.

Yup.... I took mine off when I plasti dipped them. Just four bolts and pulled each one off then squeezed together the tabs as I was pulling the plastic piece off from the front. Taking them off makes it much easier to work with

I did it! I removed all two million of those clips, plasti dipped the chrome and repaved it all today. I worked 12 hours on my day off or I'd have pics. I'll post em tomorrow.

Herculined mine today. Started at 9 am finished at 4:30 pm. There going in my truck tomorrow and I'll post all the pics I took along the way in its own thread.
