Default Oem ambient lighting install

Hi everyone, new to the forum.

I have a 2011 xlt and just put in a centre console out of a 2010 platinum with the ambient lighting, I have power and ground hooked up, and I have the can bus medium speed high and low hooked up.

Now the ambient lights turn on when I open the door but when I put the key in and turn the headlights on they don’t turn on, I tried pressing both buttons and I tried using a jumper wire to bypass the buttons incase they were bad but still nothing.

Has anyone done this swap successfully? I’ve searched and only found people doing aftermarket kits.

Thanks!

I did not, I thought the lighting module just used data from the can bus to know when to turn on, like it does when I open the door.

The forscan spreadsheet shows some different settings for ambient. I'm betting you need to change those somehow.

Yeah I was hoping I wouldn’t have to use forscan, do you know where I can find the spreadsheet?

Do you know where I can find a spreadsheet for the 2011 f150, the “2014 and earlier” spreadsheet says it’s been deleted.

Yeah I figured that out lol, was looking on my phone.

I looked through all the modules and found “lighting control module present” and switched it from disabled to enabled but my lights are still doing the same thing, only comes on when I open the door.
