I have been trying to get this done at the dealer, but they can't seem to find the service bulletin based on the numbers here (SB-22248).

Does anyone happen to know if re-flashing my controller will work, or do I need to replace it?

How do I make sure the replacement one has the newer software?

Since my truck is out of warranty this will all be on my dime so I'm hoping to do the cheapest thing possible ($135 for a reflash).

Since the dealer can't locate the TSB (and neither can ford customer service) I'm not sure whether a reflash or replacement is required.

Seems like all the guys here have reported having it replaced.

Mine says this but only when my trailer is connected.

If the truck can tell when a trailer is connected, then why can't the tow/haul automatically turn on?
