The owner's manual and Ford recommended maintenance intervals are definitely what I always use. Hope you didn't need that $500 for something else.

The good news is, as long as they did everything right, it's not like it'll hurt anything. A lot of that just didn't need done, yet.

Think they had Ford tranny fluid in stock? Ouch.

You better make sure they put the correct tranny fluid in...or you will buying a new transmission. There is no such thing as universal fluid for this transmission. It needs to be the correct stuff...

The transmission fluid they used is called "MaxLife Multi ATF". That's what it says on the receipt.

Based on the receipt I'd guess it's Valvoline Maxlife ATF:

OEM is Mercon LV:

I'm not an expert; but all of the viscosity data seems pretty comparable between the two and they're almost identical on the viscosity index. IMO, I think you're in good shape.

Haha thanks guys. Y'all really got me worried there. I think it should be alight. It's a reputable place. They seemed to know what they were doing. They just wanted a big bill, that's all. But they weren't gonna shaft me to the point where damage could be done. They just did a lot of unnecessary stuff, but from what I can tell, all of it seems to be very professionally done.

Seriously though, you're probably fine - at 30K I'd probably change the tranny fluid as well, and some other stuff. But $555? Great googly moogly.
