Default Not another AC Question?!?!?!?!?

I know this has been beat to death now, but I need to mention that I've never had an issue with my a/c till the middle of this summer. With a digital thermometer in the vent, I get reading of 12 degrees Celsius on a good day, but I'm averaging around 15-17 now? Some days it's great, most days it's on max AC with the dual on max air, and it barely cools the inside. I read something about checking for clogged evap drain, and tried the suggestions, but I real change. Called the dealership, and they want $1300 Canadian to change the evaporator, but they don't even know if that's the issue. I'm hoping someone has had similar issues, and could provide some insight? Thanks.

Even 12 c is a little warm. I'm in Arizona and this has been a hot summer. Granted my truck has been at the dealer for the last 3 weeks but before that it was still 108 F. out and my AC would blow about 44 F on max. The evap drain clogged usually just causes water to leak on the passenger floor. I've never seen one fill up so high that it affected ac performance. I would look for low freon or a blend door issue. Could be other problems but I'd check these two first. Only reason you'd want to change the evap is if it's leaking or blocked with debris which would cause real low air flow out the vents.
