When i pull up and unlock the truck i always have to pull the pass front door handle twuce for it to open. The first pull its like its still locked, then pull it again and it opens right up. Is this a normal thing with these trucks? If so why?

 

Not normal at all. It's the latch assembly that causes the problem, and needs to be replaced. There is a TSB out there, but I'm sorry I don't know the number. Quite a few of us have suffered this malady. A trip to the dealer, and a conversation with the service writer is in order. Welcome to the forum.

 

Exactly what Wanted said! Most have the outer door handle replaced as well for the cure!

 

Just had mine fixed 2 weeks ago, new handle/ is the ticket. No issues since there is a service bulletin on it in their system

 

Thanks for the replys fellas. Arent the factory FX door handles just black? Mine and my mirrors are painted white but i think it was aftermarket. Would look awfully funny with one black door handle.

 

No FX handles should be Painted to Match!
