Default No Trailer brakes ???

I installed a factory trailer brake controller in my 2010 f150. I have taken it to the dealer and had it turned on. It displays gain and power in the gauge cluster. I believe I have the relay and the fuse installed as well. But it does not work. I have no trailer brakes, they all worked with my 2004 f150 and an oddysea controller, so I know all my trailers nrakes work. Also I do not get a message saying that the trailer is connected. Can someone please shed some light on what I'm missing?
Thanks in advance,
Darrell

Your old truck and trailer was probably wired in the 7way differently than your new truck. I know they are supposed to be the same but when I worked in my shop I couldn't tell you how many 7ways I ripped apart reconfiguring wires so that they were compatible with the new truck.
