Default No power to blower resistor

hello everyone have a 2013 f150 all fuses are good and power comming from fuse box. I have no power at plug ins for resistor and blower motor. Can not find anything on here about this. Everyone says to replace resistor but I doubt my resistor and blower motor are bad there just not getting power to them for some reason.i know the power goes from the fuse to the switch in cab then to resistor. The power switch in the cab lights up when powered on and I can change between heating features but no air at all on any setting or on high and low. Any ideas? Thanks

I had a similar issue with mine when I first purchased it used. Driving along and all of a sudden, blower would turn off. Dealer replaced blower motor and it was fine for a few days. Took it back and they replaced resistor. Worked for a few days.
I decided to check it out myself and found corrosion in the plug on the pigtail that plugs into the blower motor. I cleaned it up, coated with dilectric grease and reinstalled. Been fine for over 2 years now!
might be worth looking at.

thanks for the reply. I will take another look but the plug did look fine when I had test light to it. Didint see corrosion. My best bet is the switch in the cab even though it seems to have power to it. Gonna take that out on a Warner day when I have time and take a look. Luckily I have a commuter car I drive most of the time

One thing I forget to mention. When I blower stopped, I could drop the glove box and hit the housing with the palm of my hand and get it to come back on. That’s how I knew where to look.

If you end up replacing the motor and/or the resistor, make sure to only use Motorcraft parts. The aftermarket parts, especially the resistor, is just a hair off and will cause strange performance when the fan it set to HIGH - including shutting down the fan. Motorcraft parts work as expected and are actually cheaper if you buy from Rockauto.

pulled fuse 46 in cab fuse panel that runs climate control. Put it back in cause it looked fine and also disconnected power wire I had plugged into fuse panel for my cb radio and now I got air. Not sure if it was loose fuse or shorting out from the cb radio wire even though it was in a different fuse. Either way a fairly simple fix!
