Default Nightmare!

My 2010 lariat, towed by a gmc!

My truck would not start after a quick trip to the grocery store. Not a battery issue. I have really no idea other than it may be the starter module. I'm pretty disapponted of course. To make matters worse and to rub a little salt in the wound, the roadside assistance unit was a gmc and the driver was loving it. He weather was ****, really rainy and about 4 degrees celsius. And if that wasn't enough to **** me off, my neighbour came and gave me a ride home...in his dodge ram!

The truck was towed to the dealer, i'll let everyone know the diagnosis as soon as i do.

Sorry for the troubles you had with your F-150. For the GMC tow truck driver....there's a first time for everything.

no kidding! My neighbour loved it too! Of course, i deserve it i started all the trash talk!

I read some other threads, looks like it could be an issue with the antitheft, my wife was the one who actually went out to the truck. I asked her if she accidentally put her key in (2008 edge) she said she didn't, but that might have created this.

Don't fill to bad, my wife's 09 Cheby suburban had to be towed to the dealer 4 different times with a dead battery. So dead you couldn't even use on star. You couldn't give me a Obami motors vehicle. I hate everything about them top to bottom. My wife got a brand spanking new Mercedes Benz for valentines day. Boy was she happy to get rid of that cheby pile if s***t.

It may be the PATS module. I had a problem back over Christmas - New Years (worst time ever to break down) where the truck wouldn't start, and it ended up being a bad PATS computer. Hope it gets sorted out soon... Took them almost 3 weeks to figure out mine, but she's been running line a chamo since.

Thanks, I'll do a little research on that. I had the truck in and the dealer said "there's nothing wrong". Really? i guess it's normal that it doesn't start?

I don't know what it is but they suggested that it was because a wrong key was repeatedly tried and thus the truck went into "anti-theft". My wife did say she may have tried her Edge key but I have done that in the past too and never had this happen. Both of us carry a key for each vehicle in case we need to switch vehicles for some reason.

Now, I have a "Code Alarm" remote starter. this thing is ****! I have had this thing go off way to often with no reason. i had the shock sensor disconnected but it still goes off like crazy. I try to disarm it using the lock and unlock but it doesn't respond. i just have to wait for it to stop. Could this be the problem?

Who knows, i just hope i don't have any other problems.

Is the Code Alarm remote started dealer installed? Was the remote starter installed when you first got your truck? If not, did you have starting problems before the Code Alarm was installed?

Could be that the remote starter system is at fault. Even more cause to suspect it since it keeps giving false alarms when the shock sensor is disconnected.

So, Mr. "Patriot"...what is the breakdown of the money sent to the "german govt" as you state? MB cars are built here as well, so I am curious to know whether all of the money goes to Germany, (meaning the workers work for free) or does only a small part of it go there (which is probably a wash, since Germany and Europe for that matter, purchase many Ford products, which sends profits back to the "USA GOVT" as you state.

So, which is it Mr. Patriot? Does all of the money go back to Germany, or does some of it stay here in the USA? And, does Ford Motors in Germany keep all of their profits or does some get sent back here to the USA, essentially making it a wash?

Your call, Mr. Patriot

And I assume that computer you are typing on is also made in the USA by an unkown company which you would just love to provide details about. I would love to hear about it myself sir

2010 Ford F150 XL domestic parts content: 55%, right on the door sticker sir, keep that in mind before you trash on someone for not buying "american" made cars, which the MB is "american made".
