New tires. New hum

New tires. New hum
I've searched and searched and couldn't find anything that fit my particular situation.
I have a 2010 xlt 48,500 miles just put on some bfgoodrich all terrain ko
Went up a size to 275/70/18 nothing too crazy no level kit or anything
The problem I'm facing is that from about 25-45 mph there is a pretty good hum but once I get up to highway speed it settles down and is very tolerable. I've seen posts about a vacuum hose, bearings having to do with 4wd but all of those continue to hear the noise no matter what the speed.
They also said I had a bad ball joint.(typical ford) Which they replaced but I am wondering if when they installed that they disconnected a hose or something
I understand that I have a much more aggressive tread coming from a fuzion xti which had tribal and flame patterns all over it. It killed me to give up those tires but it was time to move on ..scarcasm..

Maybe it is the tires that are noisy.

I really want that to be the case lol. I can't afford any more work at the moment
The thing I guess I'm asking is would that be normal for it to be louder at lower speeds then quiet down on the highway

I have Toyo Open Country A/T2 tires and they are the loudest at about 45-50, then smooth out to a low hum at 70. I'm just saying, if you had a new set of tires put on and suddenly you have a hum, it's more than likely the tires. BFG's make a bit of noise in my experience.

Yes, I've had plenty of Mud Terrain tires when I was younger! Thats totally normal for them to sound louder on pavement at lower speeds, then slightly quieter at city or highway speed....

Perfect. Thanks very much for the quick replies. I thought it was normal but you never know. This is my first experience with some beefy(er) tires so I guess you can say there is a bit of a learning curve

Yes, my all terrains do the same thing when cold. Especially when my pickup has been sitting for a week or so. ROOOOAAAARRR for about 20 minutes, then they die down to a low hum easily drowned out by a little bit of classic AC/DC.
