New Set up or Raptor?

Keep yours. Raptors are overrated. I think I might go insane if I keep hearing about how horny people are for the Raptor.

Am I going to have any problems with the Icon or Camburg UCA with the stock wheels. I heard there be a backspacing issue with the stock wheels and aftermarket UCA? Don't want to spend all the money then find out that the set up doesn't work together.

Agree?
The more I'm reading the more good things I'm hearing about the Deavers.
Think my mind is made up on going with the Icon coils and rear shocks with the Deaver leaf pack.
Now just need to find out what UCA that I can use and still keep my factory Platinum 20's with 285/65-20 bfg at ko???

Me too lol. I don't see how they are overrated... They look awesome and they are well engineered. Just like you can supercharge a mustang gt all you want but you are still not driving a Shelby. Another thing is they always keep their value and come with warranty. On the other hand if you sell your truck in a year you might not get your upgrade money back. I have the camburg/fox set up at the front and raptor takeoffs on the back I really like it. I thought about trading up too and test drove a couple raptors but can't tell much difference from my set up on the road and over Walmart speed bumps. I'm sure they won't be the same with any serious offloading but that's not what I need and I plan to keep the truck for a long time so I don't worry about losing the value on resale.

Thinking about ordering a new Raptor but really don't want to take the huge hit when I trade mine in.
Have a 2013 4x4 Platinum loaded with eco and 3.73 gears.
Starting going through the forum pages and wondering if this would work and give me the Raptor ride without any rubbing. Also it would be much cheaper than buying the raptor
Icon Stage 1 Front suspension kit. Set it at 2.5"
Get a 3" block replacement for the rear.
Icon 2.0 Rear shocks
Icon Upper Control Arms
keep stock Platinum wheels
285/65-20 BFG AT KO
Looks like I could get all this for around $4000. Am I missing anything?
What do you think?
Thanks in advance

No matter how much money you have there is no justification for a 50k toy which is what the Raptor is, just like a Shelby is a 60k toy. Conversely, if a Raptor is what you want no amount of money spent on your truck will scratch that itch.
Raptors are the most off-road capable 1/2 ton truck ever produced. It isn't bravado it's fact. Some folks don't like them, that doesn't change the facts. Those guys are the first to start jawing about towing capacity which is just as logical as using a Shelby as a taxi that isn't what either was designed to do.
If you start changing up the suspension on your truck you will also impact towing capacity. Compliant off road suspension is not conducive to max load towing. There are kits and springs that do both pretty good but it will be a matter of sacrificing one for the other at some point - depends on how extreme you get with your mods.
