Well guys I picked me up a 2010 tuxedo black f150 yesterday to replace my 04 that got totaled in April. Love the truck but have a few questions. I'm sure I will learn a lot more as I get used to it but figured I would throw them out here to see if I could get any answers. First one is having to do with the back up camera. I did a search and nothing specific to my issue. I'm getting a black screen on the Navy screen when I put it in reverse, I have checked the plug in from the tail gate to the harness and everything looked good there. I also checked all the settings as well, which does pop up when in reverse. I'm looking for any diagnostic help or others that have had the same issue. The truck is not under warranty any longer so any help is appreciated. The next question I had was regarding tuners. I know the edge was one I had considered for my 04, are there ones that are better and ones to stay away from? I have a leveling kit so the tuner would help for adjusting for tire sizes as well as performance and fuel economy. Thanks in advance for any help and I look forward to being a part of this section! (I'll add some pics soon when I get it cleaned up) lol

Welcome to the forum. Tons of good information on here and can't wait to see some pictures. As far as the camera goes I cannot really help you besides checking the actual camera and making sure nothing is covering it (which I'm sure you already did). As far as tuners go, there's a lot of advice and pros and cons on them all. I went with the SCT just because I found a really good deal that I could not pass up. It has worked great for me and just got some custom tunes not long ago since I got lifted and 35s. The tunes were super easy to install onto the advice as well as the truck. Good luck.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I have indeed checked the camera to make sure nothing was covering it, I also check the conector at the actual camera inside the tailgate. Next I'm going to hunt down the wiring harness diagram and start checking for power and grounds and go from there. Did a little cleaning so heres a quick pic.

Nice truck! I dig the factory chrome clad 20s (I'm a little partial)

My only suggestion would be to remove the pinstripe. Never thought they looked good on these trucks.

Welcome to the section, the trucks a beauty. Ref. the camera. Does the '10 have a drivers information center on it? If so you can check to see if the camera is turned off. Good luck, I hope it's something simple.

Thanks guys, I tried to see if there was a on/off for the camera and have yet to find anything. Its going in tomorrow to get the side windows tinted to match the rear and I had planned on taking off the stripe as well here pretty soon. Once I get the camera fixed I will be happy with the truck. Def a step up from my 04!

After looking further into the back up camera I have found I have no power to the harness. I will continue diagnosis and let people know so if anyone else ever has the same issue. Really like the truck so far, much better than the 04.Name: 2014-06-19%2021.04.25-1_zpskxsjgfbk.jpg
