Ive read that halogens actually do better than led for the fog lights.

Cant comment on this personally though, because Im still running all halogens in my truck.

Im sure someone will comment.

PS i didn't re-read the original post before commenting, sorry, didn't realize you had factory hids, thought you were planning on installing in factory halogen buckets. It's early, lol.

I too was just commenting how much nicer the HID's are in my 14 VS. Halogens in my 11. 😃

I ran Putco LEDs in the fogs for three weeks. They look good but performed horribly. Too much scatter. Sold them to a member here and went back to halogen.

I found the kit at my local performance shop. https://www.jbspowercentre.com/ I've also hear from numerous people, that LED bulbs in fog housings look cool, but perform badly. On my old truck I replaced the whole housing with round LED spotlights. This way you can turn them in and off and you already have the factory switch. I spliced into the factory fogs wiring. As for everybody knocking bright lights, it all comes down to common sense as to when and where to use them and putting all the excessively bright lights on switches. I'm on a tight-ish budget, so I'm picking up some PIAA bulbs for the fogs. Supposedly minor performance increase, but good color match. $100

Halogens in reflectors
hids in projectors

led pods when you're not around other motorists.

Being cheap with lighting is just a poor decision. Do it right with projectors or don't do it at all.
thank you!!!!!

I had a D2S retrofit done and I love it.
D1S CBI's put out 3500 lumen, stock 2800. Better color, better performance, just better.

Right the lumen increase is more attributed to the D1S setup than the CBI bulb though.
