Default New here. Question before buying.

First of all I'd like to say hi from Texas. I've been lurking around here for a while and have a few questions. I went and looked at a 2012 Lariat ecoboost today. It is loaded. The local dealer here has $7k off of msrp right now on all 2012's. The sticker price on it is $51,540 so that would bring it down to 44,540. Can I do better right now or is this a good deal? Thanks for any advice in advance.

Hey man, welcome! I'd say you can get better... I mean, 7k off is a lot, but I got my 11 FX4 for 11k off sticker.. Got it in August of 2011... I'd say you can bargain that down a bit.. Best of luck!

I just bought my truck a month ago and ended up at just over 10k off sticker. Worked out to be just over 7k off out the door. Good luck!

Don't know what options are on that truck, but a "fully loaded" 2013 F150 Lariat on Ford.com runs about $47K-48K so I'd tell him to sharpen his pencil a bit more unless he doesn't want to sell it. I hope this helps.

While getting my oil changed today at a local dealer, I walked by a 2013 Lariat and sticker was 51k. Kept walking.

To the OP, I see a lot of people on here getting 10k off. Keep trying.

On a 2012 you should get 10 to 12k off with no problem's right now. In Feb '11 I was able to get mine at 9k off MSRP.

It depends on how much your willing to fight with the dealership. Try finding a nearby dealer that has a comparable truck and get them competing for your business. Worked great for me. My truck was 58300 and I signed at 42250 plus tax and all that crap. Still a great deal. Don't take anything less that 11k off sticker since they have 2013s on the lot now.
PS - I'm in Canada FYI.
