Default New F150

I'm a new proud owner of 2013 F150 XLT 5.0L V8. First F150 I've owned, though I've had a truck before without any mods on it. Most of my work has been on bikes so I'm new to the customized truck world. Obviously I can't have this truck for too long before I want to power up the engine! (I think most gearheads will agree with me)

Anyways, I've been looking at new intakes for it to start, and it seems like a lot of guys on here are a big fan of the Roush CAI. Any other suggestions or tips as far as gains in HP, TQ, or MPG? I don't plan on doing a lot of towing outside of throwing a 4-wheeler in the bed and taking a trip to the deer lease. I'm open to any and all ideas/suggestions and will be happy to post some pics once I actually slow down and take some!

Thanks guys

Welcome!!! Your biggest bang for the buck would be a tuner, like the SCTX4. If you get it from Stage3 Motorsports, you'll get 5 tunes from 5*, and lifetime retunes once you get some more mods like an exhaust, CAI. You can also dial in your speedo once you get taller tires, or change out gears.
Welcome to the money pit!!!!!!!!!!!

^^^^like Johnday said^^^ welcome to the money pit lol. I also have a 13 5.0 but I have done zero engine mods, never tuned, programmed etc, don't even have stock exhaust on it only because I have extended warranty and have read horror stories on people adding these. all my mods are the exterior and interior. And once again welcome to the forum!! P.S I also haul my quad in the bed and if you Oman on putting s front level on do thectear as well as my Honda ATV without the level made my truck level once in the bed.

Countdown to when one of our more polite members tells him how useless a cai is, or stickies another thread.

Welcome to the club, but mods are like women and potato chips. One just leads to more.

Welcome to the forum. Now you can sink money into your truck and your bike and you will find a ton of information and suggestions on how to get rid of you money.

Most around here do performance and suspension modifications.....pricey! I am satisfied with both those aspects on my truck and spent my money on a navigation system and HIDs, both OEM and....pricey.

Read the stickies and do some research around here before you spent money. You can learn from other members' mistakes.

You bought a great truck, no matter the engine size.

Congrats! Pics please. I have had my fx2 for a month and have spent a good deal of money on mods. My wife has officially cut me off from doing any more mods

After about a year with the XLT I wound up selling it and moving on to a 2013 FX2. Big fan of the new color and all the options inside already.

Ruby Red is a beautiful colour! Looks great without chrome. I bought my wife a Focus last August in that colour.

Congrats! I bought my first Ford and it is also a 2013 XLT Screw with the 5.0. I love mine the way it is and plan on keeping it that way. I am one of the lucky ones I guess.
