Default New deck or add amp

So I have a 2010 screw wondering what u guys think gives the best results. Adding a new deck while keeping all the ford functions USB sync and Sirius which can be pretty pricey once u add in the extra harnesses. Or just adding a 4 channel amp, either way i am getting some new speakers all the way around

I added a new deck and it made a world of difference but you want to keep your sync which I got rid of so I would do an LOC, amp and speakers.

If you are already adding new speakers, I would add a new deck as well to get the most out of those new speakers.

I just replaced speakers with 6.5” components up front & 6x8 rears. Added some Dynamat to door & panel. Very good bang for a start. However, I have a JL 600/6 mini amp & MX1 converter sitting on a shelf for a sunny day. Really need something tunable to retain stock HU. Really depends on your $ & what you consider good sound. I will prob change my stock Sirius/MP3/ Sync later.

I had originally installed new speakers (Infinity Kappa components up front and 3 (or 4; cant remember) way rears) along with a JL amp. Also installed a class D JL amp with a single sub. It sounded OK but I felt like i wasted my money. I kept it that way for about 6 months and couldnt stand knowing i spent all the money on something that does sound great.
So two'ish weeks ago, i installed a Pioneer AVH 4300DVD dbl din in the dash. I also installed a Axxess SWC module so I could retain using my steering wheels buttons. I ditched the sync because the new deck has its own blue tooth (which works much better than the sync did), usb, pandora, xd radio ready etc... it wasnt worth spending the extra money for the sync module.

So... IMO... It was well worth spending the money to replace the deck along with new speakers and and amps. It sounds amazing now!

I also ditched the Sync as my DD HU did everything better, BT was way better IMO.

imo, adding deck invites thieves looking for targets.

amp behind the seat and sub under the seat keeps things looking stock. mine sounds great. left factory rears in. changed fronts to infinitys and installed 4 channel 50 watt per channel rms. the sub is bridged.

as if loud good sounding music doesn't give thieves an idea of what you have for a system without even looking in your truck.

I went with Pioneer 3200dvd/JL Components/jl 10w3 sub. I'm very pleased with the sound of this set up. I wasn't trying to keep Sync or Sirius though. Like some others say, depends on the money you want to spend!
