Take a look in your owners manual, it tells you all that is done with this reset and how to initially drive it.

All F150 trucks have a standard flooded cell battery until the 2015 2.7 with auto stop start. Ford started to use a AGM battery for the greater reserve capacity. I would assume they will the use AGM battery's in all models that have this feature.

Besides wasting precious time in a finite lifespan, no.

To be completely honest I don't know if its a fully adaptive system or it is finished learning after a given number of drive cycles. If a given number, then you could probably influence the throttle ramp rate and shift timing somewhat by driving more aggressively (for lack of a better term) during the learn cycle, but I really doubt it.

I believe it would be Fuse 75, Power train Control module 1.
It is Fuse 47 on my Mustang, but since it is a Manual it does nothing for mine.
As for a down side, I do not know.

I tried driving more aggressively after doing a KAM reset, but it returned to the poor throttle response thing after a couple hundred miles. You would think it would have learned the more aggressive driving. I don'tknow.

Man, I'm half afraid I'd screw up something expensive. Well, it was a thought.

I installed a relay (got from a Mustang forum) on my automatic v6 14 Mustang that basically kills fuse 47 (keep alive ckt for the KAM each time I turn the key off. If it stays off around 20 minutes or so, the KAM resets. Since I'm an old timer and drive mostly in the city, it keeps the shifts like it was brand new. A tune really helps the Mustang v6 auto, but I have extended warranty & don't want to kill that. I've seen no negative effects in 10K miles.
I've wondered many times what my 5.0 Lariat's equivalent to the Mustang fuse 47 is but haven't figured it out yet.

The owner's manual was where the concern started for me.

The truck has driven perfectly (well, after new tires and alignment) since I got it. Whoever put the first 50,000 miles on it must drive like me I guess.

I'm putting off the battery change now anyway, it seems fine. Between the oil change shop and the dealer I'll probably return to doing all my own work!

I'm very happy with this truck, so didn't want to jinx anything. I got concerned over things I've never been confronted with before (I'm a geezer). My owner's manual is very general and applies to many models. I wasn't sure what all applied to mine, having never seen the dealer/manufacturer window sticker (used truck).

The adaptive systems probably learn better'n I do. Like bicycle seats: if you don't notice any discomfort, it's doing its job!

My Mustang has Short Tube Headers on it and a Tune, the Dealer here has never said a thing, but I have never had an engine problem. They do ask if I take the tune off when I take it in.
I don't know if it is the same Control module in the F 150, but fuse 47 is 75 on the F 150, now if it does the same thing I have no Idea.
