Hi guys recently picked up a 2012 F150 Fx4 5.0. Planning on ordering a Magnaflow #14419 (magnapack) 3"in 3"out 4"body and dropping it in place of the stock muffler. Planning on leaving the resonator in place. Has anyone done this on a 5.0 ive searched the forum and youtube looking for feedback and there is none.

2nd option was Magnaflow 12198 (oval) single in 3" dual out 2.5". Local shops though tell me if magnaflow cant make a kit without removing the spare tire it cant be done and throw me towards flowmaster.

Bro's got a drone master and dont want none of it

what do you guys/gals think?

I have a magnaflow exhaust kit on my truck. It was on there when I bought it so I am unsure of the model number. But it is a cat back kit and I can tell you it does not interfere with the spare tire. It sounds great with very little drone.

i don't know why magnaflow says this. kit # 15460 it's on my truck and i have my spare tire with no problems. and yes no drone and it sounds great.

do some searches for smd5231 or PM him, he has done at least a half dozen different mufflers on his 2011 5.0.

Check my sig. Couldnt love my setup anymore. Only problem shop had was figuring out how to run two tail pipes out into stock location like raptor. fitment over the axle was tight but came out perfect! Perfect rumble, no drone, loud when you want it to be. Love the 5.0 opened up. Couple other guys on here have this setup and love it.

Does that kit remove the res? Also What muffler is it? 14, 16 18? thanks

I went with a SIDO 5x8x14 magnaflow with the resonator left on. All stainless piping. The shop did all the custom work. (No problem with the spare) love the sound, hardly notice it at highway speed but sounds great when I want it to.

Same here, went with Magnaflow dual exit exhaust with no issues around spare. System sounds great and no drone! Definitely prefer over the Flowmasters I have had in the past.
