Default Neep some HELP here!

I just tried to install a set of DDM Tuning 35W 6k headlights. Followed all instructions off their site and even watched a video on Youtube. Everything seemed to hook up fine but the wires were a little short and made it a hassle.

So everything was all back in place and I was so excited and guess what...they don't turn on. I double checked all the connections and it was all good to go. I'm really confused and I guess their support line is either closed for today or the weekend. Maybe some of you all can help me.

I was wondering what the little green thing clipped on one of the wires is. It was plastic and labeled FUSE. Any thoughts?

And also I noticed when I flicked on the high beams only the passenger side turned up.

Thanks for everyone's help. I really need some thoughts here.

Its a FUSE, is there one it the holder? Is it a flat style fuse?
If there isnt one in there then the circuit is not complete and it wont work.

How important in the ground connection? I tried to attach it to the frame on a bolt but it was not long enough so I think its on another bolt that touches metal and plastic. Could that be the problem?

Grounds should always go to clean metal or to the negative battery connection (bare metal is better) and are as important as positive connections, they complete the circuit (electron flow). Did you do a bench test to make sure everything worked before you did the install? If only one side is turning on, try swapping bulbs, if the bulbs are fine then you miswired something or have a bad ballast.

Alright well I got everything working today. I think that it was the ground connection that needed to be fixed, but I just took everything out and started over.

Now I have one concern...When I switch the lights from off to on they do not immediately come on. I then flip the switch to off and then on again and then they fire properly. The lights turn on the second go around and work fine. Any thoughts to why this is happening? Could it be the bulbs are just new and need some getting used to?

sounds like a relay issue...i had a similer issue with the HIDs that i installed on my quad and it turned out to be the relay.. they wouldnt fire right away then would flicker... i changed the relay and they fire right up

HID's wont immeadiately come on when the switch is flipped. Mine take like 5 seconds to reach full brightness.

I see...but just still wondering because when I switch mine on, they flash then shut off or sometimes don't flash at all. Then I turn them off then on again and they flash bright then start to warm up and reach full. Everything is fine on that second try. And by the way got my fogs up and working today and no problems there.

Are you using a relay kit, or are the HID ballasts being powered directly from the OEM headlight wiring?
