Default Need help with tire rub

Hey guys, this is my first real post here. I was pretty busy on the mustang forums but traded her in on a 2010 f150 fx2.

I got myself into an issue. I put a 2.5" level on her and despite all my research could not stay away from 35" tires.

I ordered 35" muds on 20x9 moto metals that have a 0 offset which stick out about 2 inches from the fender. I thought I would be ok if I had some rub as I could just saw off some inner wheel well. Well I have sawed off every bit of wheel well available and still rub on the back wheel well when turning.

My question is, could I throw some bilsteins set to 2.5" lift with my 2.5" level or even a 3" level to clear them or do I need to eat it and get a 6" lift. I'm trying to do this as cheap as possible as I do not want to throw on a 2,000 dollar lift on a 2WD truck. I bought her out of impulse and realized I wanted a 4WD afterwards, only I owe slightly more than what I can get and will not add that to another loan.

Thanks for the help guys!

Here's a pic:

I would check out the f150lifts adjustable kit. That would get you just enough to clear.

I had the same problem with 34" and I just clear it with a 2.5" kit.

You cannot ever ever ever ever get 5" of lift out of leveling shocks and spacers. The UCA would rest on the spring at level.

I gained about .5" from swapping kits and it did the trick. I barely clear behind the front wheel, but it hasn't rubbed since.

Mine was rubbing on the fender flare, inside the bottom where it bolts on.

No Spacers with our Adjustable Coilovers, nope, you don't need them. You will get 3" of lift with them. Forum Member XLTinSD has our Ultimate Kit on his 2wd, so does Beachteeth, PM them. Thanks ReefDonkey...fixed the link.
