Are you suppose to rotate the strut to reinstall it, and how the hell do you get the lower strut mount back in, been wrestling it for an hour

 

i had to use a 4foot snapon prybar to get mine back in also to get the upper ball joint back in mine was a 2.5" hbs though!!

 

yes you have to rotate it to go back in.

I took a crowbar and had someone push down HARD on the lower strut mount with leverage, then I had to hit it with a hammer to get it to go. i did a 2" kit so you may not need the hammer part.

oh yeah i did use a hammer also thanks for reminding me lol it was a pain in the ***** but it will go!

What a pain in the ***, actually bent the prybar Still not in. Am I cursed or what. Going to find some spring compressors tomorrow and try again Hopefully that will work

 

I had the same problem with a 1.5 AS I installed on my 2010 FX4 last week. I put a small jack between the frame and the lower a arm. This helped make enough room to push the bottom of the strut back into the bracket. Hope this helps

 

i put in the 2 1/2 " lift the only way to go is a bottle jack between the a frame and the frame it just pop in.
