I was looking at that Maestro unit. It does have climate control access.

I also found this. Seems you can use it with other brands. I thought it was Kenwood only. On the right, (3. RADIO) lets you choose the brand/model of head unit.

Does anybody have the part number for the nav unit I'd a 2013 f150? I hear it works a little better and looks a whole lot better. Plus it has manual a/c buttons finally.

As of 2013, only the Kenwood radios will have climate control screen. If you pick another radio, you can still use Maestro, but you will see the climate control features will not be supported.

In 2014, all Kenwood DNX/DNN models fully support this, as well as the DDX7701HD AV (non-Navi) unit. Also, Alpine announced support with their 2014 7, 8 and 9 inch navigation radios.

Best,

I cannot stand all this touch screen mess on vehicles now!! And, I'm typing this on my iPad touch screen, so I know about GOOD stuff that just works!

I don't even like the so called "auto" heat ac on my '02! For air, we need plain old ***** that we can operate with work gloves on. I'll sure pay more attention to heat, ac controls on my next truck.

This thread isn't about complaining about touch screens. I don't completely disagree with you but that's not what this is about.

That's great to know. Thank you that. It's nice to see the aftermarket seeing the same issues we have to deal with.
