Default Need Axle, Gear, and Diff opinions

Ok guys this is the first post Im making I have a 2010 F150 Lariat with the 5.4 I have recently put a 6 inch BDS lift on it, Fuel ANZA rims with 35X12.50 18 Mickey Thomson MTZ now as you can figure I need to re-gear it. I am thinking about ARB air lockers front and rear and 4.88 gear and also would like to upgrade the axles and drive shaft. I just wanna do it right, so all suggestions. Thanks!!

Stock running gear should be plenty for the combo youre wanting to run. The front IFS is the weak point on 1/2 ton trucks. Uniball UCA's, tierod sleeves, and keeping CV angles relatively flat.

4.88s is a lot of gear for 35s unless you plan to go with a bigger tire is go with 4.56s.

Even with 4.10 gears you should be fine.

Off-road doesn't really matter it's getting back to stock ratios if not a little higher for a little extra zoom zoom to help with the extra weight of the tires.

And being as these trucks have 6 speeds RPMs are still low even if over gearing. That's my 2 pennys. Will it affect MPG some, but you don't put a truck on 35+ if you worried about MPGs.

I have a 13' on a 6 inch lift with 35's and was getting 11.9mpg. Went from 3.55 and got 4.10 and have gotten up to 14 mpg now. I think anything over 4.10 is going to be too high, rpms are gonna be up there. another suggestion to re calibrate your shift points for the wheels is a tuner. i went with mike at 5 star tuning. he kept it a stock tune but just changed the tire size, doing that changed my tranny shift points...also helping my mpg. hope some of that helps...

I've got 3.55s w/35s and am going with 4.56s. Debated 4.88s but think they'd be a tad to low. Think 4.56s will be perfect for 35" tires.

It matters because he doesn't need new axles and lockers and a driveshaft if he doesn't offroad. And he probably doesn't need them even if he does, unless he's doing super hardcore stuff.

If you want to regear, go for it as long as you don't care about mpg. If you offroad occasionally throw a Detroit in the rear at the same time and skip the rest. Save that money for an SAS if you're hardcore. There's no point in replacing a good driveshaft and no point in wasting money on a front ARB and axles when that will still be your weakest link. For what you'd spend on the front axles and ARB and install, you'd be close to what it would cost for a Dana 60 SAS.
