Does the circle around the vehicle mark in the center of the screen continually flash. If so is their a way to stop it from flashing?

Mine always blinks.

 

It's the circle of life....when it stops blinking, it means you're dead.

 

Is this the sync navi????? I can't say I've noticed it.

 

Yeah, the circle around the red pointer flashes, blinks, or whatever you call it. Been wondering the same thing myself. I guess it wants you to be able to see where you are on the map as if the large red pointer thingy isn't enough.

 

Semi-related question not really worthy or it's own thread (sorry for the hijack)--

Has anyone noticed that sometimes you can press and hold your finger on the map and it will scroll forever while other times it will only let you press to scroll to a specific spot then you have to lift and press to scroll again?

 

My NavSYNC circle blinks. It can be distracting at night. I turn the map display off sometimes. Of course the blinking circle turns off with the map.

I don't know of any way to keep the map display on and stop the circle from blinking.

 

The press and hold is called continuous scroll (vs the touch scroll). My understanding is the continuous scroll does not work when the truck is in motion. Yet another annoying detail caused by the lawyers.. lol

 

It means the tracking device the gov't surreptitiously installing is functioning properly.
