Default My first EcoBoost problem after 8 months.

2012 screw XLT XTR 4X4.
So I was driving home tonight doing about 60km and it started to rain......

Well low and behold I go to close my drivers window and nothing!!! WTF I say and try over and over to close it, then finally it closed.
What does this have to do with the Eco? Well absolutely nothing, just thought I'd stir the pot a bit and be a smart @$$.....ok,sorry now that's out of my system...lol

I go and try my window again after the rain stops and it goes down smoothly every time but takes multi attempts to get it to close again, I'm hoping its just the switch and a quick fix at the dealer next week when I go for an oil change.

I found an entry for a TSB but could not get to open it or read it.

Any suggestions????
(Besides " I should have gotten the 5.0"). ;-)

Do our new ones use the same crappy switch that my 05 and 07s did? Similar I bet. Bad switch. I could only get 30k out of them. Then I seen the you tube link on here showing me how to take the switch apart and clean/ bend the contacts. Works perfect.

This morning it's working fine....Hmmm. I should still get it looked at when I get the oil changed this week.

Hope it will do it's nasty when you take 'er in to the dealer. I've not had good luck on this with any vehicle I've taken in.

BTW, my 5.0L windows work great.

Why would you think that just because you have a [minor] problem with a window switch on your vehicle, thousands of others must've had the same thing, thus there's a TSB covering it?
It takes thousands and thousands of parts to build a motor vehicle, and the chances of every single one of those thousands of parts working perfectly its entire life are EXTREMELY remote.
The likelihood of YOUR problem being the result of a design and/or engineering screw-up on Ford's part, resulting in a massive conspiracy to cover it up is also highly improbable.
Thankfully Ford(as well as every other manufacturer of mass-produced motor vehicles) has given you a warranty on your truck, and has also set up an extensive dealer network to sell, maintain, and repair it.
All you need to do is bring it in to one of these dealers, and they'll repair the problem for you free of charge-provided it's covered under your warranty, and your truck is still within the warranty period.
