Default Mudding with Trail Graps!

Well first off I have to say I will NEVER ever do this again. But I took my forty thousand dollar truck through a muddy prairie trail today. The tires handled incredibly through the mud thought I must say I had fun. Never had to kick it into 4x4 which is probably why it isn't quite so muddy but it was a total B to hose down! A pressure washer would have been wonderful but I probably spent 2 hours hosing out my wheel wells and bumpers.

Anyway let's hear your mudding stories and pics!

I haven't had a chance to try out my new tires in mud, but my last set got a workout. A buddy ended up buried on a muddy access road across from our apartments last year and I got to yank on him for a good while before I spent about 3 hours at the car wash.

I took mine one night up to some power lines near me where everyone 4X4's.... I only put in 4wd like twice but it was a blast.. Did WAY better than i thought not lifted or anything. Just tires. I had a couple drinks that night si when i same out the next morning i had a hangover and a incredibly muddy truck to clean. It looked like it was wearing a hola hoop because of all the cat tails... I still find mud i missed. Awesome time.. Love my Ford!!!

Went to the back of the farm to check some traps and slid into a hole. I tried to get out slowly in 4x4 so I didn't make too many ruts, but just ended up digging deeper as the tires started to cake. My front driver side tire was in so deep that I couldn't open my door more than 6 inches. Not wanting to call my father-in-law to come get me(cuase he would never let it down), I decided to hell with making more ruts and give'er some gas. As the tires spun faster, the cleaner they got and I was out in seconds even after my rear drivers side tire fell in the same hole. IMO, your not stuck unless you have to call someone to come get you out and I haven't been stuck yet in my new truck with the Duratracs on.

The sink hole after I got out.

The truck after I got out of the sink hole. The rain washed most of the rain off by the time I took the picture at the next gate.

One thing I realized while I was cleaning it is that the mud found its way into every crack and crevice... thanks for the stories guys! Glad I'm not the only one, hopefully this will put the people who complain we never do what our trucks were made to do in their place!

These trucks are beasts off road... I don't care what anybody says. I thought maybe because they make them more luxurious now for the bankers they lost some of their truck nature... Nope. Im confident my truck will get out of whatever I get myself into... Love my ford.

Good pics! I'm waiting on my Method wheels and BFG KM2s to get here and I will be able to add to the muddy stories.
